Will MTV's technical snafu doom Hype 5-0 next week?

Hype fans in Hawaii are up in arms. According to The Hypian Movement, ABDC was not aired on time in Hawaii on March 18: "For this crucial week, much of Hawaii was waiting with excitement for ABDC 5 last night. Local listings showed ABDC playing at 10:00pm, but it surprised us that ABDC did not follow its schedule and was not aired on time... Some Hype 5-0 fans were posting on twitter and facebook that they called the local broadcasting station Oceanic and the station filled us up on the information that MTV has failed to send the show for the night and has not answered any queries from them...By 11:45, people in the chat were worried that some of their family members and friends who had no access in the internet and only relied on the numbers posted on TV may not be informed which number to vote for Hype 5-0...By 12:03am, the show was aired but not at the beginning. We never saw Hype 5-0 perform, only the closing comments of the judges... Most of us never had the chance to get some votes in because of insufficient information and the late passing of information to other fans. The voting lines may have opened earlier because of the daylight savings time but we also received reports that for at least an hour or two, the online voting never showed its link button on the page. As early as 12am, the phone voting was closed."

"We feel that MTV has been disregarding their duties when it comes to a competition... This is supposed to be a “fair” competition. Why all the foul-ups, MTV? Why on a crucial week like this?"
