New Chance to enter our top 4 contest

Thanks to all of you who submitted entries on which ABDC crews will be in the top 4 at the end of this season, in the order of their elimination. If you want to change your vote, here's your weekly chance. Note: there's no penalty for entering each week. If you get it right early, that's the vote that counts! The prize goes to the first person to submit the correct answer, based on which week they submit it. If more than one person gets it right that week, we'll employ a tie-breaker rule.

Click here for contest rules and prizes. Quite a few entries were proven wrong this week, and other people may be having second thoughts after having seen the crews perform a second time.    Just leave a comment below with your name and your picks, and you're in.  Deadline for this round: midnight on Monday April 25. Good luck! This round is now closed.

Recaps galore!

Byeynyn's and Zekeish's reviews of ABDC6's Black Eyed Peas Challenge

Here are two hilarious, insightful, and extremely different reviews of America's Best Dance Crew's Black Eyed Peas Challenge. Thanks Zekeish and Byeynyn!

-- From Zekeish: Hey there BABDC, this is Zekeish coming at cha for my third review for the Black Eyed Peas Challenge, reviewing for you in a hospital after an appendectomy (yeah my appendix was like “yo, get me up out of here”).This episode we get to see the Week 1 safe crews and the Week 2 safe crews perform back to back, which is nice, because you can see who the top crews really are. We get to see who shines when the task is handed to them, and we also get to see who fails miserably. Shout hooray for excitement and do a little dance cause its reviewin time. Click here to read his full review.
-- From Byeynyn: Last week, the pole dancers and their innocent poles were sent home. Eight crews were left, representing six different regions. Could this finally be the season where the champions represent a location that isn’t within driving distance to Hollywood? We’ll find out. For this week, all eight crews will be dancing to songs by the Black Eyed Peas, with an additional twist thrown in. Even though the gaps between the good BEP songs and the horrible BEP songs are wider than the Grand Canyon, I generally find their songs easy enough to dance to, so these professionals should be able to handle whatever will.i.am, Fergie, Taboo, and apl.de.ap can throw at them. Exclusive interview with Phunk Phenomenon: "Do It Afraid"

Jet Li (Poreotics) and Chris Trondsen talked to Phunk Phenomenon before the taping of ABDC's Black Eyed Peas Challenge. They talk about how it feels to be underdogs and show what they can do, their repping the US at Hip Hop International, how they can do more than just choreo, repping Boston along with the Celtics, why "do it afraid" is their motto, and how they'll adapt for ABDC. Thanks to MOVeMEDIA.

Third Round of ABDC6 Elimination Challenge contest is now open!

The Elimination Challenge: Which crews will be in the bottom 2 each week and which one will be eliminated? Enter each week; the person with the highest cumulative score for Season 6 wins an ABDC crew shirt of their choice and size (up to $35 value).

To enter: Each week, we'll publish a new post for this contest. When the weekly post is up, leave a comment with the names of the bottom 2, specifying which one is eliminated. For example, in Season 3, a winning entry for Week 7 would have read: "BOTTOM 2 WEEK 7 - Quest, Fly Khicks. Eliminated: Fly Khicks." From now on, you will be awarded 1 point for each crew you name in the bottom 2 that week, and an extra point for identifying the eliminated crew, for a total of 3 possible points per week.  This week's deadline: midnight on Monday April 25, 2011. THIS ROUND IS NOW CLOSED.

**IMPORTANT**: Create a user name you will use every week for the entire contest, and make it memorable (not just a common first name or word). I can't track email addresses, and if it's difficult for me to track votes, they won't be counted.

Instant Noodles interview: Jet Li calls them "The Taller, Breaking Version of Poreotics"

Jet Li (Poreotics) and Chris Trondsen interviewed Instant Noodles before the taping of America's Best Dance Crew's Black Eyed Peas Challenge. Jet Li talks about how he's worked with IN for years and compares them to Poreotics. And, they give a detailed instruction on executing their handsign. Thanks to MOVeMEDIA for the camera and production.

Dance's Review of ABDC's Black Eyed Peas Challenge competitors

Hey everyone, this week all of the crews had to tackle the Black Eyed Peas Challenge. This episode had many great moments in it, but I felt like all of the crews were lacking something special in their performances. However, Phunk Phenomenon gave it their all and were the surprise highlight of the night.

Click here to read the details from Dance's review. Thanks, Dance!

Clips from all the ABDC Black Eyed Peas Challenge

Here are the clips from ABDC's Black Eyed Peas Challenge, for your review and further critique.
- First up: FootworKINGz

Click here to see the clips from ReQuest, 787 Crew, IaMmE, Street Kingdom, ICONic Boyz, Instant Noodles, and Phunk Phenomenon.

Send some love to FootworKINGz

FootworKINGz brought a Chicago style and flair to America's Best Dance Crew and introduced us to a unique way of dancing. I loved the fast moves the first time I saw the group on America's Got Talent and loved the energy they brought to all their routines. I was looking forward to seeing them take on the different superstars and am really sorry they were sent home so soon.  Let's all hope they continue to bring their moves to World of Dance, Hip Hop International, and other live dance events!

This post is only for kind words about FootworKINGz. If you've got complaints about them or other aspects of ABDC, please take it to the Critics Corner. Any negative comments on this post (about FootworKINGz or any other crew) will be deleted.

The Party Room/Critics Corner for ABDC 6's Episode 3 Black Eyed Peas Challenge is now open! Join lots of other readers, fans (or not) as they vent on the best and worst parts of the challenge, America's Best Dance Crew, and other things. IMPORTANT: If you want to write a long comment, write in in NotePad or Word and then paste it into the comments field. Otherwise, all your work may disappear if someone posts something new while you're in the middle of writing.

After the show is over: The party has just started, so stick around and join your friends (old, new, and not-yet) to vent, wish, and amuse. Are the ABDC voters delusional? How's the Season of the Superstars going for you? Are the crews living up to their pre-show reputations? Which ABDC6 crew members (or hosts!) should hook up? This is your party -- snark, humor, nostalgia and almost everything else (except obscenity and abject disrespect) are expected and welcome!

Del, Ninjaboi, and Nancy will be co-hosts of this live play-by-play of America's Best Dance Crew Black Eyed Peas Challenge. Feel free to follow along (particularly if you cannot watch it until later). Ninjaboi's Review of the Ke$ha Challenge

Oh hey, it’s Ninjaboi.  No long fancy introduction, except to say that you’re free to have your opinions about the crews just the same as I’m free to mine.  If you’re going to comment, be prepared to back it up because I will debate about it 8P.

Also, just some credentials: I’m a college student who dances on the side.  I’m a bboy, popper, aspiring locker/houser as well.  I also do traditional Filipino dance and dabble in new style.  I’ve been doing these reviews for 2 seasons, this being the third, and posted a lot last season, enough so that Nancy doesn’t hate me enough that I somehow became a mod? Anyway, I like using math to quantify things, so here’s my numerical review.

Click here to read the review. And, I love most of my readers!
