Videos: Poreotics - "Do You" & "No More Power No More Gas"

These popping, Asian robots certainly have come a long way since their "Tic-Tic-Tic" days on ABDC.  Here are TWO new productions from Poreotics.  The first piece is Charles' very first professionally shot video to Miguel's "Do You (Cashmere Cat Remix)" featuring the crew and Mike Fal.  And the second video is the official music video to Can's original song, "No More Power No More Gas".  It's really Asian and really funny-- as Poreotics are known for.  From Charles V Nguyen & PoreoticsHD YouTube.

Video: Dashaun Wesley (Vogue Evolution) and Candy Boyz vogue on the New York Subway

Dashaun Wesley (member of ABDC's Vogue Evolution) is now leading a group called Candy Boyz.  They proved that there are actually some subway performers who are worth watching. According to a story in the Huffington Post, “We decided to make ‘CANDY BOYZ’ because making fun of ‘subway candy sellers’ is probably one of the longest running jokes in our 12 year friendship.”We wanted to put our own spin on it. We also wanted to show how comfortable we were in our own skin and doing our own thing in front of millions of people". They are also creating a monthly internet comedy show called Black Gay University - here's the first episode

Chachi Gonzales (IaMmE) sued over rights to market Chachimomma pants

According to M Live, Chachi Gonzalez (member of ABDC's IaMmE) is being sued by Infusion Marketing over an exclusive license to market Chachimomma pants.  According to the suit, Chachi's family broke their agreement and started selling competing lines while locking the marketing company out of the Chachimomma website. Chachi argues that she never signed the contract, but that her signature was forged by her mother, she received no money and is not under the jurisdiction of the Michigan courts. 

The article states that Kent County Circuit Court Judge Christopher Yates wrote in his opinion order that "Infusion presented enough evidence to allow the case to move forward, but cautioned that the company would be "hard pressed" to advance any legal claims if it is determined that Gonzales did not, in fact, sign the licensing agreement with Infusion."

At VIBE XIX, Academy of Villains came in first place in the competition. Among the non-competing crews were  ABDC veterans Poreotics and KM Legacy (ABDC's Kaba Modern; the current Kaba Modern members also performed at the event).
