World of Dance is expanding their online offerings with a new weekly feature called Dance Cinematics. From their website: "The series is about the artistic identity of dancers through their inspirations, their creations and their lifestyle and directed by Charlie Luccini". The first episode features krump, house, and abstract dancing by an international cast including Shash'u, Meech, Miss Prissy, Skorpion, and Big Ryat.

As described by Popdust, K-Pop group Purplay released a teaster video that is a direct steal from IaMmE's Last Chance Challenge on America's Best Dance Crew Season 6. "The video soon made its way to I.aM.mE’s head choreographer, Di “Moon” Zhang, who tweeted: “this kpop group just bite all my crew shit , come on,” with a link to Purplay’s teaser."

January 27: World of Dance Montreal - Blueprint Cru, Jun & Ricky (Most Wanted Crew), Jet Li (Poreotics)

World of Dance Tour opens 2013 in Montreal on January 27. As always, there will be dozens of crews competing and in exhibition. Some familiar and welcome faces for America's Best Dance Crew fans: Blueprint Cru (ABDC Season 5) will be performing in their first WOD ever. Some ABDC alums who are WOD mainstays that will be there: Jet Li (member of ABDC 5's Poreotics), Jun Quemado and Ricky Cole (members of ABDC Season 7's Mos Wanted Cru).

A great concept from Phillip Pacman Chbeeb (member of ABDC Season 6's IaMmE): charitized videos, where he will do a collaboration with another artist in a series of videos. In each, he will give $2 to a charity for every 1000 views. The charity for this first video (featuring Pacman doing some fierce finger tutting, accompanied by guitarist Eddie Haddad) is Council for Exceptional Children; future videos will help other charities. America's Best Dance Crew Season 1 winners are on hiatus from Las Vegas, but they're still earning their keep. They've just become "brand ambassadors" for custom headwear maker, Flat Fitty. As part of the partnership, the cap maker will produce a signature line of headwear for the crew, which will be worn when they travel and perform in 2013. The hat collection is available online through FlatFitty.com, JBWKZ.com, and other retailers.

Breaking news: America's Best Dance Crew might find a new home!

According to the Futon Critic, America's Best Dance Crew may resurrect somewhere that is not MTV. Randy Jackson told them about ABDC on the TCA Press Tour. "We're working on that, it's a great show, the only show of its kind. You may see that somewhere else."

When asked if he could mention any specific suitors, Jackson said, "Not just yet but coming."
