The LA Times recaps the 80s challenge, with analysis, opinion, and exclusive videos of Fanny Pak, Lil Mama, Shane Sparks, and Super Cr3w. But the Must Watch Video in the article is a clip of J.C. Chasez explaining why Fanny Pak lost. We're as shocked as everyone else at Fanny Pak's elimination. They showed humor and originality throughout the season -- defying gravity in Week1, rocking the prom in the Speed Up Challenge, and going Exorcist in Get Ur Freak Out. They used props and themes better than anyone else, and pushed the art with wicked hard moves. Hope to see more Fanny Pak soon!

Morning Mailbox - Week 8 Challenges, Kaba Modern, and Tshirts!

- MTV Remote Control reports that each crew danced twice this week. First up was the “Groove Step Challenge,” in which the crews incorporated old-school moves into their acts. Then, they tackled the “Dance Moves Challenge,” using moves from classic 80's movies.
- Kaba Modern appear in a public Service Announcement for Project Michelle, a charity to help cancer victims needing bone marrow transplants.
- Monsters of HipHop: the Show, to be held in Los Angeles on August 15-16, is dedicated to Gary Kendall, the founding member of JabbaWockeeZ who died earlier this year.

America's Best Dance Crew is THE Teen Choice!
Congratulations to America's Best Dance Crew! The show was named Viewer Choice for TV Reality Dance Show at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards.
ABDC also helped keep the show jumping, with JabbaWockeeZ performing onstage. Here's Lil Mama (what IS she wearing??) with Jordin Sparks presenting an award. Great show, great outcome!

Shane Sparks, Kaba Modern and MORE at the Hip Hop Dance Championships
The Hip Hop Championships are being held this weekend.Shane Sparks returns as a judge and Kaba Modern are the defending champions. He talks about the kids in these dance crews and calls out Flos Angeles as the ones to watch.
