VietNamTheworld and Kaba Modern Legacy -- a brilliant partnership
Ambitious Alex, Barry Goods, Tony Tran and Trandrew of Kaba Modern Legacy premiered their latest choreography set at Singapore’s annual Night Festival in July 2010.
I am reposting this to help spread the word about the group that helped sponsor this event. This is one of many superb videos that can be found at VietnamtheWorldTour.com. From their website (which I encourage you to visit): "Viet Nam The World Tour is a movement of creative thinkers, artists, writers, performers, filmmakers, documentarians and cultural producers whose creative engagements attempt to challenge a global status quo...It exists as a series of live performances and a collection of media, photographs, films and writings that can be found online. These documents give proof and life to a movement that transcends national borders and ideas of nation-hood; a movement that brings together artists and a variety of art forms to celebrate the spirit of creative energy...it is a brand that uses the creation of art to inspire ideas and more art."

New Documentary on Hip Hop Dance available on DVD - Moving in the Moment
The GV Documentary Series on underground HipHop culture just released a DVD called "Moving in the Moment." I haven't seen the DVD, but other documentaries in the series have received praise for being thoughtful, honest, and less exploitational than many films addressing hip hop topics. It's available now from Amazon and Netflix. Here's their promotional video:

Student project: Opening titles for an imagined JabbaWockeeZ documentary
Reader the4got10one is a student in Digital Media at an Australian university. One of his recent class projects was preparing opening titles for an imaginary documentary about the JabbaWockeeZ. I'm especially impressed in that he was limited in how much actual video he was allowed to incorporate. What do you think?
