ABDC Alum news: Parris (ReQuest) choreographing for JLo, FootWorKINGz in documentary;We are Heroes photos

 - Parris Goebel (dancer and choreographer for ABDC6's ReQuest Crew) has a busy summer ahead. According to TE News, She was just hired by Jennifer Lopez to choreograph for J-Lo's upcoming world tour. After that, she will teach workshops in Rome, followed by a return to Hip Hop International.
- We are Heroes (ABDC4 winners) did a new photospread for The Bull Magazine
- Fortune and Bang reports that members of FootworKINGz (ABDC6) are featured in a new documentary called "Underground" about street dancing. Here's the trailer:

Red Bulletin Magazine (from Red Bull) just launched in the U.S. to cover "sports, people, arts, and culture". FootworKINGz (ABDC6) were among the featured performers at launch parties in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. HouseofCrews Youtube has an interview and some of their performance.

Review of ABDC's Katy Perry Challenge by Byeynyn

Here's a review of ABDC's Katy Perry Challenge by Byenyn. Thanks to all the readers who have sent these to me. I'm spreading them out over the next day or two so that each will be given the attention they deserve! 

 Last week, eight crews danced to mostly so-so songs by the Black Eyed Peas. ReQuest and FootworKINGz were the bottom two crews, possibly because Chicago was too busy watching Derrick Rose to vote for FWK and I still don’t even know if New Zealanders are allowed to vote. Ultimately, the FootworKINGz had to shuffle off the stage. Seven crews are left to try and work a routine to songs by Katy Perry. We’re slowly reaching the point in the show where we start getting a stronger sense of the crew’s styles. In sports, they say one’s a fluke, two’s a coincidence, and three’s a trend. This is the third performance of all the crews, and discernible patterns are being shown, both good and bad. Crews without strong dance identities will eventually fall by the wayside. FootworKINGz brought a Chicago style and flair to America's Best Dance Crew and introduced us to a unique way of dancing. I loved the fast moves the first time I saw the group on America's Got Talent and loved the energy they brought to all their routines. I was looking forward to seeing them take on the different superstars and am really sorry they were sent home so soon.  Let's all hope they continue to bring their moves to World of Dance, Hip Hop International, and other live dance events!

Survey results for ABDC's Ke$ha Challenge favorite and least favorite performances

Over 1100 votes were cast in our polls for most popular and least popular crews during the ABDC Season 6 Ke$ha Challenge. Results:

• Out of 1629 votes, 787 Crew was the winner for most favorite performance with 35% of the vote, followed by FootworKINGz (26%) and ICONic Boyz (18%). Only 6% thought that the group performance was the highlight of the episode.  Click here to see the full survey results.
