NAOTV Episode 2: Return of the Time Machine
Konnichiwa! You probably remember the first time you saw these guys on KoopaTV. After falling from the top spot in the last round of Dance@Hero, Time Machine definitely came back with a vengeance in the latest installment of the Japanese dance competition. Their signature robotic style definitely deserves the title of Dance Clip of the Week. Check it out for yourself:
Of course, that wasn't the only dope video from the past week. Check out the links below (or this playlist) and tell me what you think. What was your favorite video from this week?

---Other Dope Videos from This Week---
Anthony Lee-"Hold On"-So many different crews are represented in this video. Anthony Lee really captures the feel of this song beautifully in his choreography. Bonus points to anyone who can name all the ABDC alumni in this video.
Alan Truong-"Bananas"-This guy is bananas! (Sorry, couldn't resist) But seriously, Alan Truong is one of the best choreographers from Houston and he reps his city well.
Can Nguyen-"8-Bit Bounce"-What makes this piece special is the fact that Can created the music himself and then choreographed to it. I always appreciate pieces like this where all of the art comes from the choreographer.
Tony Czar n BIGZ-Back in the Studio Together Again!!!-Part of what made the Urban Empire Kidz so popular from the ABDC 6 auditions was their high energy choreography. Tony Czar's piece here shows just that as he performs it here with Lil BIGZ.
**If you have any submissions for NAOTV, please send them to my account here.**
That's it for this week's episode of NAOTV! Thanks for reading and watching! -NAO

Video: Choreo Cookies performance at WOD San Diego
WORLDOFDANCETOUR Youtube just released a video of the Choreo Cookies exhibition performance at World of Dance San Diego in October 2011. Too bad they have a long-standing policy of not auditioning for ABDC.

Redbull BC Onenews: watch on line - US competitors: Morris (Fallen Kingz), Roxrite (Renegades), El Nino (Floorlords)
On November 26 2011, 16 dancers from 10 nations will compete for the title of “Red Bull BC One World Champion” in Moscow. Fans from all over the world will be able to watch the entire b-boy battle live at redbullusa.com beginning at 8am Pacific/11am Eastern. For more about the event, visit www.redbullbcone.com.
Red Bull BC One has earned the reputation of being the most prestigious 1-on-1 b-boy battle in the world because of the highly skilled dancers who compete each year. This year’s battle is set to be a thrilling one. Dancers hail from Korea (Hong 10 & Vero), Russia (Flying Buddha & Yan the Shrimp), Portugal (Lagaet), Japan (Taisuke), Venezuela (Lil G & Salo), Brazil (Neguin *2010 champion), Holland (Niek), France (Soso & Mounir) and Vietnam (3T). The U.S.A. will be represented by Roxrite, a member of the legendary “Renegades” crew from San Francisco; Morris from the “Fallen Kings” representing Sacramento, CA; and Boston b-boy, El Nino of the “Floorlords Crew.”
Known for his power moves, signature style and bravado, Morris is considered a favorite according to the b-boy forums. He recently won the UK B-Boy Championship solo battle; and is no stranger to Red Bull BC One, having made it to the semi-finals in 2009. Roxrite has a lifetime record of more than 60 first places, many of which were in 1-on-1 competitions. Despite injury he battled his way to third place in 2006 at Red Bull BC One in Brazil. In 2007, at the Red Bull BC One championship in South Africa, he made it all the way to the final round nabbing runner up.
El Nino secured championships at competitions in Holland and Belgium but it was his win this summer in Boston at the Red Bull BC One USA National Finals that earned him a spot on the dance floor in Moscow.

Teaching reel from Bionic (Supreme Soul, Rockforce, Machine Gone Funk)
We've seen Bionic in competitions -- solo and with his crews including ABDC2's Supreme Soul -- but I feel another side of his ability and personality with this teaching reel. The music is "Stay Strong" is a tribute to his first dance teacher, Skeeter Rabbit. From BionicSupreme Youtube.

Video: Flash Mob proposal with members of Pac Modern, Sick Step, Poreotics
From the description at artomagic Youtube: "This is the official video for my (Charles Collyer) proposal to Valerie Macalino. On November 14, 2011 I proposed to my girlfriend of 7 years. The idea came about after seeing the show "Mobbed" and they had a marriage proposal episode. That's when I knew what I wanted to do....
The pyramid at CSULB was the place where Pac Modern first started practicing and still does to this very day. We met when we were both dancing in the collegiate competition scene. I was on Sickstep and she was on Pac Modern. She was also a coord at one point while she was on the team so the location only seemed right. The "driver" (our friend Ashley) picked her up and her cousin (Stephanie) helped escort her to the pyramid at CSULB. And that's where this story ends and the video begins....."
Here's an alternate view of the action from JohnAgustin Youtube. Thanks for the tip, Jay!

Starting today: A calendar of upcoming dance events - please contribute!
We've had numerous requests (and complaints) to restart our weekly upcoming events calendar, which had been discontinued due to the large time commitments involved to research all past ABDC crews and their activities.. So, we're starting up the calendar again that will stay at the top of this home page. New policies:
- If you know of an event, leave a comment on this post or email us at BloggingABDC@gmail.com. I will add it IF there is info on date, location, and how to learn more. If you give a link, I'll incorporate it
- I will only publicize events that are related to America's Best Dance crews or other hip hop dance people -- that's the point of this site.
- Due to space limitations, event posters will not included, but I'll include info on the performers, as well as links to posters
- The more advance notice the better, though I'll try to include even info for that day. I'll also try to post on-going events

Solution to ABDC Blowup Contest Week 5: Street Kingdom
Thanks to everyone who entered Week 5 of our ABDC Blowup Contest. Street Kingdom was our mystery crew. Here is the blowup:
The clue ("On a recent America's Best Dance Crew, they gave some mighty praise") alludes to krump, which is an acronym for Kingdom Radically Uplifted Mighty Praise. Here is the original photo, from the Rihanna Challenge:
We had many more entries this week, with almost all of them correct. While there is still a three-way tie - Jai, JabbaJake, and PerezOverride -- several other people are just a little behind. Week 6 of the contest will be posted tomorrow. Click here for the contest rules.
