NAOTV Episode 20: Empire the Crew's callback routine

Hey there BBDC! While the upcoming season boasts one of the most solid lineups in ABDC history, there were still many great crews that didn't make the cut. One of them was fan favorite Empire the Crew from Guam. One of the last cuts in the selection process, this strong crew of young dancers showed their stuff performing to the D78 Mastermix of N*ggas In Paris, the West Coast callback mix. Best of luck to this crew in the future!

New Contest: Predict the ABDC7 Top 4!

We will run two contests during America's Best Dance Crew Season 7 which will extend from now through the finale. The prize for each will be a Tshirt of your size and choice, value up to $35 or an iTunes gift certificate worth $30..

The Top 4 contest: Submit the names of the top 4 crews -- in the order that they'll finish. For example, in Season 6, the winning entry would have read " FINAL 4: 1. IaMmE 2.  ICONic Boyz 3. Phunk Phenomenon 4. Street Kingdom" Note: if you change your mind, you can enter again the next round but we will only accept the FIRST entry from each commenter each round (PLEASE DO NOT USE MULTIPLE IDENTITIES!!!). The prize goes to the first person to get it right, based on the week they submit the answer. If more than one person submits the right answer in that same week, we'll employ a tiebreaker rule to be determined.

To enter: Each week, we'll publish a new post for this contest. When the weekly post is up, add a comment with the names of the final 4, specifying the final order. Subsequent weeks' entries will be accepted from Fridays (once I put up the new contest post) until 6pm ET the following Tuesday (before the next show is taped). You can enter Week 1 contest now -- deadline for the first entry: Midnight April 6, 2012.   The contest will then be closed until after Episodes 1 and 2 air (since both are taped on April 7), then reopen for Round 2. THIS ROUND OF THE CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. NO MORE ANSWERS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE NEXT ROUND

Instantly Derezzed - Instant Noodles at ElecTRONica

Word has it that Instant Noodles (ABDC6) will be performing at Disneyland's "ElecTRONica," joining the ranks of ABDC alumni who have performed, including Kaba Modern, Poreotics, We Are Heroes, and Team iLuminate (not ABDC but with ABDC alum!).According to their facebook page, they will be performing at 8pm and 8:30pm on March 16th and 17th. It may be a competition, so if you're in the SoCal area, go and support!

In this video, Wrecking Crew Orchestra is similar to Team iLuminate (America's Got Talent) in its use of lighting tricks, but their moves and effects are definitely watch-worthy.

Jonathan 'Bionic' Bayani created a concept video with his girlfriend Davi  Lorenzo. She is part of the Lady Boogaloos (under Popin Pete) and also an all-styles crew called "StylzPlay", as well as  being on tour with Cirque Du Soleil's :Immortal World Tour/Michael Jackson.  Bionic just won the  Keep on Dancing USA preliminaries for the world finals in China as wekk as winning at Hip Hop International 2011, and R16USA prelims. Mailbox: We are Heroes news, Puzzle Peace's Dance Idol Competition; Introducing The Movement in UK

- We are Heroes is now a 4-member group; Nichelle has decided to leave the group to take up acting. Click here to watch their announcement.
- Puzzle Peace Crew has a new dance competition called Dance Idol held in Upland, CA. It's weekly on Wednesdays starting March 14, with cash prizes.  For all the rules, sign up at Puzzle Peace's Facebook, or call  the sign up hotline at 909-545-4667 and ask for Don
- The Movement is a new UK dance group, with 16 dancers fusing dance disciplines from street to contemporary/ballet. This interdisciplinary approach was used to great effect by The LXD, and it may be high time for the concept to gain greater acceptance and exposure.
