What do talented dancers and choreographers do when they're not dancing? Here are videos showing another side of America's Best Dance Crew people:
- Riquel Olander (We are Heroes) gave the commencement speech at her old high school in Twin Falls, ID. KMVT-TV filmed a few clips of the event, as well as a workshop she held afterward

Shane Sparks (ex-judge on America's Best Dance Crew) appeared on The Kiya Show, talking about his work dancing, singing and designing clothing for dancers.

ABDC Alum news: Parris (ReQuest) choreographing for JLo, FootWorKINGz in documentary;We are Heroes photos

 - Parris Goebel (dancer and choreographer for ABDC6's ReQuest Crew) has a busy summer ahead. According to TE News, She was just hired by Jennifer Lopez to choreograph for J-Lo's upcoming world tour. After that, she will teach workshops in Rome, followed by a return to Hip Hop International.
- We are Heroes (ABDC4 winners) did a new photospread for The Bull Magazine
- Fortune and Bang reports that members of FootworKINGz (ABDC6) are featured in a new documentary called "Underground" about street dancing. Here's the trailer:

Ricquel Olander (member of ABDC4 winning crew We Are Heroes) just created a highlights reel from her television appearances, on Riqdiculous Youtube. In the next few weeks, she'll be teaching in Paris with 9-1 Pact Crew, one of the non-US crews that reportedly had a standout audition for America's Best Dance Crew Season 7.

Mailbox: We are Heroes news, Puzzle Peace's Dance Idol Competition; Introducing The Movement in UK

- We are Heroes is now a 4-member group; Nichelle has decided to leave the group to take up acting. Click here to watch their announcement.
- Puzzle Peace Crew has a new dance competition called Dance Idol held in Upland, CA. It's weekly on Wednesdays starting March 14, with cash prizes.  For all the rules, sign up at Puzzle Peace's Facebook, or call  the sign up hotline at 909-545-4667 and ask for Don
- The Movement is a new UK dance group, with 16 dancers fusing dance disciplines from street to contemporary/ballet. This interdisciplinary approach was used to great effect by The LXD, and it may be high time for the concept to gain greater acceptance and exposure. Lando Wilkins (Boxcuttuhz, Mos Wanted Crew, Movement Lifestyle) choreographed and dances with "random talented dancers" including Ian Eastwood, Jun Quemado, Joesar Alva (ABDC's Boogie Bots), Pharside Jennings (ABDC2's Supreme Soul, Academy of Villains), Mami Kanemitsu (ABDC's We are Heroes), Aye Hasegawa (Boxcuttuhz), Amanda Grind, Krystal Meraz (Academy of Villains), Knicole Haggins, Terence Dickson (The LXD, and Jonathan Rabon.

Since today's Christmas present is 9 Ladies Dancing, it's no surprise that the Crewmas focus today is on ladies of dance: ReQuest Crew, We are Heroes, and Ven15. For the seventh day of Crewmas, the HouseofCrews couldn't come up with any swans a-swimming, so they asked crews about their other talents. The 4th day of Christmas present is 4 calling birds, so the 4th day of Crewmas covers the question: If you had one person to call -- living or dead -- who would it be and what would you talk about? Among the answerers: America's Best Dance Crew alums from We are Heroes, Rhythm City, and Phunk Phenomenon; Elektrolytes, SGBM, 5 Crew Dynasty, Ven 15, New Styles Crew, and PLAGUE. As we reported earlier this week, Sony is partnering with We Are Heroes (America's Best Dance Crew Season 4 winners). The women are promoting Sony Bloggie MP4 cameras by creating video to showcase their competition-winning moves. For the next several Wednesdays, Sonybloggie Youtube channel will feature one of their videos.

MTV Danceathon October 30-31 with We are Heroes

MTV is holding a 24-hour danceathon on October 30-31 for a charity to combat bullying. We Are Heroes (ABDC Season 4 winners) are among the participants. It will be live-streamed at OMusicAwards.com, though it's not clear what time that starts.

Sony is partnering with We Are Heroes (America's Best Dance Crew Season 4 winners). The women are promoting Sony Bloggie MP4 cameras by creating video to showcase their competition-winning moves. For the next several Wednesdays, Sonybloggie Youtube channel will feature on of their videos.   

First week: Riquel shows the routine that We are Heroes performed during the first week of America’s Best Dance Crew. Each step is demonstrated so that viewers can learn and do the moves.
