A new campaign @theKingdomMade has been started by local San Diego dancers. Some of the dancers include, Keone Madrid, Mariel Martin, Chris Martin, Vinh Nguyen, Paul Ross. Not much is known about @theKingdomMade, but its promotional videos are starting to gain a lot of attention.
This latest piece comes from Keone Madrid & Mariel Martin's new Youtube Channel together, where they will be uploading all of their latest works. If you haven't done so yet, subscribe now!

With 2012 right around the corner, I decided to use this episode to take a look back at 2011. Let's start with what was probably the most viral dance video of 2011, if not ever: Pumped Up Kicks|Dubstep by Remote Kontrol's Marquese "Nonstop" Scott.
Nonstop is a very talented dancer and the amount of attention this video received was well deserved.
Now let's move onto what I thought were the best things in the hip hop dance community from the past year.
Best Choreographer: Shaun Evaristo-Shaun has had an amazing 2011, which included choreographing a performance for So You Think You Can Dance and the grand opening of the ML Studio.
Best Crew/Company: Choreo Cookies-Once again, the Cookies dominated the competition scene, winning the majority of the competitions they entered.
Best Competition: Body Rock 2011-The level of talent at this competition gets higher and higher every year. 2011 was no exception. The top 3 performances were among my favorite performances from this year.
Best Battler: El Nino-This kid tore up the place, notching big wins at WBC and the US qualifier for Red Bull BC One.
Best Choreography Video: Vinh Nguyen "Break Ya Neck"-The crazy closer to SGBM's Body Rock performance combined with a look into the mind of a choreographer makes an amazing video.
Best Choreography: Lyle Beniga "Bait"-I seriously can't stop watching this...help?
Best Commercial: Unleash Your Fingers-Amazing finger tuts and amazing graphics. I want that phone. Big ups to JayFunky.
Best YouTube Channel: YAKfilms-From their dance tutorials, to their coverage of major dance events, to their web series Yak Like Ya Know, to their well produced dance videos, Yak Films offers nearly everything a dance fan would ever want all in one channel.
Best ABDC Performance: Jabbawockeez "Devastating Stereo"-Since this IS a blog about ABDC, I felt compelled to include this category. This performance showcased Jabba at their finest.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! Today we have a special present from Keone Madrid (Choreo Cookies). He posted a video to his official Youtube Channel of FIVE pieces he's taught recently. Enjoy!
At the 2011 Bridge Competition held on December 3, the winners were: 1st place - GRV; 2nd place - Barkada Modern; 3rd place - Common Ground. We haven't found video yet for GRV, but here's the Instant Noodles performance. Click here to watch the work from Choreo Cookies, Barkada Modern, and Common Ground (no video found yet for GRV's performance here).
At the 2011 Maxt Out, first place in the Major Choreo division was taken by Inside the Box. In that division, a choreographer is able to showcase their work (a full set/routine) with whoever they'd like, so Toy Box decided to round up Inside The Box and a lot of other dancers that he's close to with from different teams and crews, including Breed, Poreotics, Choreo Cookies, Common Ground, Kaba Modern, Team Millennia, The Ivy League, CADC, Pac Modern, Culture Shock LA, Mischief Makers, KM Legacy, Prime D and more. Video from toybox Youtube. You can follow Toy Box on Twitter at @box_toy.
Barkada took first place in the Major Crew division (mostly for collegiate crews). Video from dsouthrotation Youtube.
WORLDOFDANCETOUR Youtube just released a video of the Choreo Cookies exhibition performance at World of Dance San Diego in October 2011. Too bad they have a long-standing policy of not auditioning for ABDC.
Hi there! NAO here with today's episode of KoopaTV and a little announcement after the video. Today, we're headed to Los Angeles, where last month Culture Shock hosted its annual Choreographers Showcase. Among the many groups performing in exhibition was Choreo Cookies.
This performance shows us a very different side of Choreo Cookies that we're not used to seeing. See for yourself:
Now for the announcement: after today, KoopaTV is going on hiatus for the rest of the year. For the time being, I will be taking his place, posting the dopest video of the week every Friday evening around 6. You can still submit videos to his YouTube here or mine here. Since I will be posting weekly, submissions must have been posted no earlier than the Friday of the last episode. Thanks to everyone who has watched, commented, and submitted videos to KoopaTV's Dance Clip of the Day so far. He will resume posting daily next year.
And they just keep on coming! Today, we have Bam Martin's piece to "Money" (as seen in GRV's Body Rock 2011 performance) and Keone Madrid and Mariel Martin's piece to "Bring It Back". Enjoy and subscribe to the UrbanDanceCamp YouTube channel for more footage from UDC.
