Today we start a new competition called "The Master
Mix Contest", completely created by Dirtface X. Think you know your ABDC
dance music? Prove it. Listen to a sample of an ABDC Master Mix,
followed by a judge's comment about the routine, and identify the crew
who performed it.
The mixes are all available at District78.com,
but the clips will vary from 20 seconds in the first few weeks, down to
3 seconds in the last weeks. Full episodes of the programs can be found on MTV.com. Whoever can correctly identify the most routines
(crew and song title) will be the winner. In Rounds 1-4, you only need to provide the crew name, for 2 points total. In Rounds 5-12, you will need to give BOTH the crew and the tune (1 point each).
Rules: This contest will go on for 12 weeks and the person with the highest cumulative number of
answers will win either a Tshirt or other merchandise of his/her choice OR music from District78.com available on ITunes, worth
up to $35. In the event of a tie, we'll play a mix of 30 ABDC Master Mixes.
Whoever can correctly identify the most routines (crew and song title)
will be the winner. If there is still a tie after that, we will randomly choose the winner. To
make it a little harder, we are disabling the comments for the contest
posts. Send your answer to abdccontest@gmail.com; we will
NOT confirm whether you have the right answer. Please do not post
your answer in on this site or elsewhere -- we want to keep this fair.
If I find that you've posted the answer online, you are permanently
disqualified from the contest and banned from all comments.
Answers for this week's puzzle must be received by midnight July 18, 2010.
