Results: UK B-Boy Champs Day 1

The first day of the UK B-boy championships consisted of the preliminary rounds of the individual bboy and popping battles. The final four dancers from both styles, as well as the bboy crews that qualified will be battling today on the second and final day of the event.

The popping semifinal battles on day two are:

Greenteck vs. Nelson (defending champion)

Kite vs. Bruce

The individual b-boy semifinal battles are:

Lil G vs. Sunni

Upcoming Event: UK B-Boy Championships

This weekend, October 15th and 16th, the 2011 UK B-Boy Championships will take place in London. This is one of the biggest events of the year in the bboy community, and it will feature some of the world's best bboys, poppers, and bboy crews. Click here to check out the lineups for this weekend. Among the highlights are defending R16 and Battle of the Year champions Jinjo Crew, ABDC alumnus Bionic from Supreme Soul, and an exhibition performance by defending HHI champions Plague.

IBE 2011: Illusion of Exist vs. Soul Mavericks

I already posted this as part of one bigger IBE post, but I felt it would be fair to give this B-boy Champs qualifier its own post like the other one's got. In this video, we have Illusion of Exist facing off against Soul Mavericks in one of three qualifying battles for the UK Bboy Championships. Illusion of Exist were able to fend off Soul Mavericks' numerous routines with their individual skills and earned themselves a spot at the UK Bboy Championships on October 16th.

Bonus points to whoever can spot the breaker who competed at the 2011 World Hip Hop Dance Championships.

IBE 2011: Lunatics vs. Rugged Solutions

In another qualifying battle for the UK B-Boy Championships, Lunatics faced off against Rugged Solutions, vying for one of three spots up for grabs at IBE. Rugged Solutions emerged victorious. You can catch them, along with other world class bboy crews and other top notch street dancers at the UK B-Boy Championships on October 16.

IBE 2011: BBoy Champs European Final

One of the biggest events held during The Notorious IBE every year is the Bboy Champs European final. Winning this event earns a crew a chance to compete at the UK Bboy championships, one of the most prestigious world championship events for bboy crews around the world. This year's final pitted Dead Prez against La Smala.

La Smala emerged victorious, earning themselves one of the three spots up for grabs at The Notorious IBE. Be sure to catch them, along with several other world class bboy crews, at this year's UK Bboy Championships to be held this October.
