Talk Amongst Yourselves: ABDC Format

With a new season it's way (SOON!!), let's take a minute to look back at the past six seasons and see what went right and what went wrong. Whether it was the number of crews in the season. If they had auditions or not. It can even be about what regions were allowed in that particular season.

Please read the following write up and tell us how you would set up or improve the format of ABDC 7.PLEASE NOTE THIS IS IN NO WAY CONNECTED TO ABDC OR MTV THIS IS FOR FUN ONLY!!

Here is a quick break-down of each season.

Season One
-Nine crews with 12 crews total auditioning.
-Nine episodes total with an audition round and live finale with all nine crews.
-Four regions having at least two representatives.
-Only had adults competing.

Season Two
-10 crews with 14 total auditioning.
-11 episodes total with an audition round, live finale with all 10 crew and top two showdown.
-Four regions all having at least two representatives. East and West having three.
-Only had adults competing.

Season Three
-Nine crews total.
-8 episodes total with a live finale with all nine crews. No audition round.
-Three regions with the West having four representatives, the South having three, -The east having one and for the first time a Caribbean crew. This is the first season where the Mid-west was not represented.
-Only had adults competing.

Season Four
-Nine crews total.
-8 episodes total with a live finale with all nine crews. No audition round.
-Three regions represented. The south only having one, the east and west both had four each. First time in show's history the top three was all West coast.
-Only had adults competing.

Season Five
-9 crews total, with 15 auditioning.
-12 episodes with 3 audition rounds, 7 standard episodes, a live finale with all nine crews and a reunion episode with all five champions.
-Three regions represented. Each region, South, East and West had an audition round with three crews from each advancing.
-First season to have an international crew.
-First season to allow minors to compete.
-First season to allow crews to have more the seven members.

Season Six
-10 crews total.
-10 episodes with a top two showdown though it had no audition or live finale. The finale instead was the final two and all five champions returning.
-Six regions represented. The west had four representatives, the east had two and the south one. The mid-west and Caribbean regions were both brought back with one representative each.
In addition, the second international crew represented the Pacific region. This season had the most regions to date.
-Second season to allow minors to compete.
-Second season to allow crews with more then seven members to compete.
-First season to have a legacy crew make the show.

After going through all this, what did you like? What worked really well and what did not? Also for the love of god no bringing back crews. They have said crews that have appeared on the show will not come back.
