According to TV By The Numbers, the first episode of America's Best Dance Crew Season 5 was a ratings success: "MTV notched a 2.2 rating among its target demo of persons 12 to 34, marking a 22% gain against its fourth-season premiere (a 1.8 rating) against that group and a 10% uptick against its third-season bow (2.0) in January 2009, according to Nielsen data.
